Never Stop Dancing: To French Disco
Nu-disco is certainly in right now, but it’s always fun to look back at tracks that were ahead of their time. One of my favorites has always been “Wrath of Zeus” by The Eternals. I first heard this track about 5 years ago while listening to the Crydamoure label, which is headed by Guy-Manuel of Daft Punk. Recently I rediscovered the track but realized it’s not the most DJ-friendly track so I went ahead with editing it, check it out here.
And of course, the original:
So far I’ve played it twice at the club and it works wonders!

That’s Just Filth To Me
Have you ever been at work when people come in less than 30 minutes before close?! That’s just filth to me. I love having to tend to these inconsiderate people who come in right before and stay well after closing time. So if that’s you or has ever been you just know that you’ve been hated and don’t ever do it again! There’s other places open that stay open later!!!

Never Stop Eating: Village Inn (2501 E. Lohman)
Now normally we don’t do food chains in this blog, but we here at neverstop feel that Village Inn deserves an exception for its legendary Chicken Fried Steak Skillet.
The evening started off with a viewing of Star Trek at the local theater. As we have previously blogged about it was amazing but I’ll get to the point. We arrived at about 12:30 AM to the village in on Lohman in Las Cruces, New Mexico.
When we arrived we were promptly greeted and seated by a friendly hostess. The atmosphere was pretty typical for Village Inn on a Wednesday night, mostly college kids enjoying food and conversation.
When asked what to order I knew that I was destined for the mythical Chicken Fried Steak Skillet.

My and the guest both received our food within 10 (a major plus), and I was definitely not disappointed. The Chicken Fired Steak Skillet was and always has been a flawless mashing of flavors. Something about the combination of chicken fried steak, potatoes, onions, eggs, and gravy has always done it for me. My fellow bloggers agree about this as well. However, there is an ongoing debate about how the eggs on the skillet should be cooked. I am a devout advocate of ordering the eggs scrambled. The reason being that I think that the flavor of the gravy is better untarnished by the mixing of egg yolks. This debate can go on forever though so I should leave it for a different blog post on a different day. Another feature of the skillet that I would like to mention is that It is served with your choice of toast or pancakes. I’ve always been partial to the pancakes as its a good dessert after I have consumed the skillet.

The service was good as well. As soon as we sat down we had a friendly waitress ask us what drinks we wanted, and as soon as our drinks looked like they were getting empty she brought us new cups filled with our beverages of choice.
Overall my ratings are:
Chicken Fried Skillet +++++++++ 9/10 (Would give it to a ten but OZ & RY have insisted that a ten is sacred)
Service ++++++++ 8/10 (She was an amazing waitress with all the right moves)
Atmosphere ++++++ 6/10 (The atmosphere at Village Inn was nothing special same as any other Village Inn)
Overall ++++++++ 8/10 (You just can’t not like the Chicken Fried Steak Skillet)

Never Stop Eating: Done Deal (1103 S. Solano Dr.)
New York style pizza ya’ll!!! If you’re looking for it, we’ve definitely found a place, Done Deal Pizza on Solano!

As we drove into the parking lot, you feel long awaited by Eddie, the owner, who is ready to serve you with a smile and a wave (really!)! We entered the door into the dining room which was small and homey and packed with Yankee memorabilia (beware red sox fans)! Eddie approcahed us, asked us what we wanted then proceeded to wash his hands (plus!!!) but insisted that the food was tastier when he hadn’t washed his hands. The menu was easy to deal with and straight forward, just like we would expect a done deal to be!

We ordered a pizza with peps, jalaps and olives and a calzone cuz we heard they were bomb (big ups Damian!) Now we had to wait 15mins but it was cool cuz Eddie let us take 2 tables outside and enjoy the LC sunset that came along with random gangster passerbys and loud mexican music!

But it’s all good cuz Eddie brought out what we were waiting for and guess what!!! …it was a DONE DEAL!!! Overall the food was tasty u can expect a thin crust pizza, New York style, with a little bit of crunch but a chewy chew.

There’s a definite flavor of the pizza and the toppings especially the jalapenos, which Eddie warned us about, but we’re tough enough to handle it!!! The calzone was pretty bomb actually with the same pizza toppings. Althoguh he told us he hates making the calzone he was good at his trade!
Overall our ratings!
Calzone ++++++++(8/10)
Pizza +++++++(7/10)
Service +++++++++(9/10) (You def get an experience when u go to Done Deal)
Atmosphere ++++++++(7/10)
OVERALL ++++++++(8/10)
…………DONE DEAL!!!

Never Stop Watching: 17 Again
Saw 17 Again the other night!

It’s been about a month since this flick came out but we were at Coachella and some other people went without us! We finally got a chance while we were outta town having dinner, spur of the moment, BOOM we’re in the theater! Anywho, I thought Matthew Perry was pretty awkward in the role for some reason don’t know if anyone else picked up on it. The young version of, wait scratch that the young and old versions of Scar were hot! The friend was pretty unreal with his gaming and comics and what have you. Of course Zac Efron had to do a little dancing in the flick, you wouldn’t have recognized him in the movie without the dancing. Most of the laughs were pretty unreal and the concept was very similar to many other movies. Most people said that they love Michelle Trachtenberg, which I kinda do, but she didn’t really have a great role. She hardly spoke throughout the movie and got groped for the most part which I thought was pretty ridic. Either way the movie had average laughs but the characters were pretty funny.
We give it +++++++(7/10)
